Who is it for?

The Dream Lodge is meant for any two people who would like to spend some quality time together. It is an opportunity to discover yourself and your partner at a deeper level, with the service and privacy directed towards that goal. The ideal place to bring down those city stress levels.

What is it?

The Dream Lodge consists of two cottages named Gecko and Agama.

Gecko is surrounded by acacia bush and has a truly magical atmosphere. It can be reached by all vehicles.

Agama is on a hilltop with a magnificent view of the Magalies Mountains, but can only be reached by 4x4 or high clearance vehicle. We do deliver guests there if they prefer.

Neither cottage has electricity. Gecko has a gas geyser and fireplace and Agama has solar heated water and a wood-burning fireplace.

There is a swimming pool at the main house which guests are invited to use.

The cottages are 2km apart, so privacy is guaranteed.

Gecko Cottage

Gecko Cottage is the original Dream Lodge cottage. It is surrounded by acacia bush and grassland, has a built in fireplace, a charming Victorian bath and a Bokmakierie that might knock on your window in the morning.

The outside couch is ideal for lazy sundowners or simply reading a book in peace. Find the small labyrinth just down the hill, or sit by the outside fire till late at night. An exercise in tranquility if ever there was one.

Agama Cottage

Agama Cottage is situated on a hilltop with a magnificent view of the Magalies Mountains and Naauwkloof. The inside has wooden floors, a huge bath with a view and a built in fireplace with couch.

Lounge around outside with a magazine while listening to the larks, hunt for the Ba-Tswana ruins at the nearby kloof, or fly a kite when the wind comes up. The ideal place to reconnect with your soul mate and breathe a sigh of contentment.

*Agama cottage can only be reached by high clearance vehicle, but guests are welcome to leave their own vehicles at Broken Hill Farmhouse and be delivered to the cottage, or to walk the 1.6km's.

Menu

The Dream Lodge caters for most preferences, including vegetarian, vegan or Halaal.

We usually serve either a chicken or prawn main course with veg and fruit adjusted to suit the seasons. Please discuss your preferences with Sam.

When?

There is no time like the present! Dream Lodge is available all year round with the menu slightly adjusted to suit the seasons.

It is advisable however to book a few weeks in advance to avoid disappointment, but take a chance, you never know…
